Our Ingredients

Calcium Carbonate: Mild abrasive. Also known as chalk or limestone, calcium carbonate is a mineral used as a gentle cleaning agent in oral care products.

Sorbitol: Sweetener. Naturally present in many fruits, especially plums, sorbitol is used as a sweetener in toothpaste products.

Zea Mays Starch: Binder. Corn starch is derived from corn kernels. We use it as a natural binder that also helps the tablet dissolve in the mouth.

Microcrystalline Cellulose: Binder. Obtained from plant fiber cellulose, it serves as a natural binder in our tabs.

Xylitol: Mild abrasive. A sugar derived from birch bark that inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Hydroxyapatite: Mild abrasive. A naturally occurring mineral that supports remineralization and gentle whitening of the teeth.

Guar Gum: Binder. Extracted from the guar bean, it helps press the tabs and supports their foaming.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate: Foaming agent. A surfactant that binds loosened proteins and fats with water so they can be rinsed away. In our surfactant, glutamic acid is esterified with coconut fatty acids. This process combines two naturally occurring substances while eliminating their original properties.
Note: “Glutamate” here is not the same as flavor enhancers used in food – Kiyo Tabs are free from glutamates and gluten.

Magnesium Stearate: Lubricant. Ensures the powder can be pressed optimally into tablets.

Menthol: Flavoring. Naturally found in peppermint oil, menthol provides a refreshing, cooling taste.

Sodium Fluoride*: Strengthens tooth enamel and supports remineralization, especially helpful for sensitive teeth and early-stage cavities.
*Only present in tabs with fluoride.
